Smartphone Link is a free app that allows your Garmin nüvi to receive real time information such as traffic, mobile safety cameras, weather and much more. It also shares locations with your compatible Smartphone so you can navigate that last mile to your destination, and back to find your parked car.

The Best of Both Worlds
Garmin Smartphone Link for iOS & Android works with the Garmin nüvi 2013 series (2xx7, 3597, 3598). The Garmin nüvi 2012 series (2xx5,3490, 3590) supports Smarthone Link for Android only. All of the 2012 models, except the nüvi 3590 require a software update (version 4.40 or later) available via myDashboard.
Garmin Smartphone Link is available at no cost in the Android Market or in the Apple App Store and includes several free Garmin Live Services as well as premium subscription services.

Garmin Live Services provide the most up-to-date "live" information to your Garmin device using your existing mobile data plan. There's no need for an additional data connection. Some services are included free when you connect to Smartphone Link. Others are available through subscriptions offering premium content and enhanced features.

Utilising a Local Search feature within the App, search for locations on your phone and then share them with your nüvi for directions once you get back to the car. Sync with recent locations and favourites on your nüvi.
Garmin 3D Traffic Live provides the best-in-class real-time information to help you navigate in and around congestion. It is updated every two minutes with 2000 messages including details of traffic incidents, road conditions and delays on motorways, dual carriageways and major roads.
In addition to what the free weather service provides, Advanced Weather also allows you to view animated radar images on your navigator. You can also view weather conditions at your destination before you start your trip. Colours distinguish types of precipitation such as rain, snow and ice, to help you avoid bad driving conditions.
Informs you about available parking spots near your destination including prices, etc.
