Atemos 100 is an invaluable tool that helps you achieve optimum performance from your hunting dogs. It combines proven Garmin GPS dog tracking with Tri-Tronics® electronic dog training technology. This easy-to-use integrated handheld system allows you to track and train your dogs in the field delivering their exact position as often as every 5 seconds. With Atemos 100, you can now even track your hunting companions1.
Tracking and Training of a New Class
Monitor carefully each dog's speed, distance and the direction being traveled. Plus, receive notifications on the actual status of the dog, such as if the dog is "On Point". A single Atemos 100 can track up to 20 dogs or fellow hunters from a distance of up to 10 km by receiving signals from additional Atemos 100 handhelds or KT 15 dog devices (sold separately)1. With update rates of up to 5 seconds, the Atemos 100 allows you to keep close track of your dogs. On the KT 15, the top-mounted GPS/GLONASS antenna provides fast and reliable satellite positioning and high tracking accuracy, even in demanding environments.
Because Atemos 100 comes preloaded with our 100k Recreational Map of Europe, you'll always know your surroundings and for more details the free 1-year subscription to BirdsEye Satellite Imagery allows you to have a better-than-real-life view of terrain, including roads, water, woods and more.
Atemos 100 helps you train and control your dogs to stop chasing unwanted game. Easy to access training buttons allow you to communicate separately to each dog through safe and effective features, including 18 levels of momentary and 18 levels of continuous stimulation, or an audible tone or vibe command. Plus, a lockout setting is available to avoid accidental stimulation or tone. Select from two stimulation modes to customise your training even further. Traditional stimulation allows you to make quick changes (low, medium and high) within a predetermined stimulation level (1 through 6), whereas linear stimulation allows progressively more stimulation from level 1 through level 18.
Atemos 100 provides you the best possible control during hunting. Stay in control, even if you don't follow every step that your dog takes. With the help of geofences and radius alerts, you can check the dog's movements and get notified when a dog leaves or enters a specified area. For best use of the battery life of the KT 15, you can change the update frequency of the dog device from your Atemos 100 handset for making quick adjustments to changing hunting conditions. Using the Atemos in Base Station mode together with BaseCamp, Garmin's free planning software, you can even conveniently control the location of dogs and hunting partners from the larger screen of your tablet or laptop. An additional feature is that you can start and stop a VIRB action camera mounted on the dog with your Atemos handset through the KT 15 dog device.
Configuring geofences once preparing for the hunt can help you ensure that dogs do not go unnoticed close to dangerous areas like roads or steep cliffs. With geofences you can create restricted areas and set up alerts that beep when the dog comes near. If your dog comes near roads, you can remotely activate the bright LEDs on the KT 15 dog device unit that improve visibility. KT 15 can also be set to rescue mode so that the radio automatically switches to a lower refresh rate once the battery drops below 25% — in this way you will ensure that you have an additional 12 hours of search time to find a lost dog. In case of danger, you can send an emergency alert to all connected Atemos 100 indicating your actual location and immediately plotting a route to this site.
Plan Your Next Hunting Trip
Take charge of your next hunting adventure with BaseCamp, Garmin's free planning software that lets you view and organise maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. BaseCamp displays topographic map data in 2D or 3D on your computer screen, including contour lines and elevation profiles. It can also transfer an unlimited amount of satellite images to your device when signed up to a BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription.
With an expanded ecosystem of wireless connectivity options, Atemos 100 is well-connected with other Garmin devices. For example, the outdoor Garmin DriveTrack™ 70LM GPS navigator can receive and display dog positions on its moving map — with TOPO or satellite image views — showing navigation cues to your dog's current location. Likewise, fēnix® 3 GPS watches can receive dog status updates and alerts for viewing at a glance on your wrist while you're in the field.
Robust and Durable
Garmin devices are known for their truly rugged designs optimised for outdoor use, and Atemos 100 is an excellent example of this quality. The KT 15 dog device is even more durable and its materials are adapted to the tough requirements for hunting dog collars. The dog device is waterproof to 1 ATM (10 m)2 and equipped with an extremely durable braided steel VHF antenna for reliable operation even in dense vegetation.
1The KT 15 is only compatible with the Atemos 100 and Atemos 50.
